Best place I have ever rented in Kailua.

The place was in an awesome location. Misty Ann was a perfect host. You could not ask for anyone more attentive and answered all our questions promptly. <br/>The 1930s cottage has all the basics....and more. Parking is directly outside your unit. This is a free standing two story cottage. The upstairs bedroom has a small view. <br/>The best part of this place is the location. Steps from the most incredible beach you’ll ever experience! That’s what makes this place a treasure.

This cottage is located on a private drive and offers private beach access. The beach is really beautiful and offers great sunrise views! The accommodations were very, very clean and comfortable. It's a small space, so you definitely want to only have people you're comfortable with in close proximity stay with you. The master bedroom and the bathroom are on opposite ends of the cottage. So, you have to walk through the kitchen/living area to get to the master bathroom. Not a big deal if you're staying with family. The upstairs was very delightful because of the view and the deck. There's also a full bathroom upstairs. Because it's mostly all windows upstairs, it gets kind of hot later in the day. Thank goodness there's an A/C unit for the upstairs and a separate one for the downstairs and a 3rd unit in the master bedroom. There isn't really any ventilation in the downstairs bathroom, so you might want to bring a portable fan of some sort. We just opened windows after showering. I loved the outdoor shower and clothes line! Also, I cannot say enough about the location of this rental. The downtown area of Kailua is about a mile away. The area offers everything you'll need for a lovely vacation. There are lots of restaurants that offer take-out and outdoor seating. There's a Target and Whole Foods, if you want to feel at home while shopping for necessities. Our favorite place to get coffee and chai is the Kalapawai Market. There are 2 locations in Kailua, but the one in the center of downtown is where we went several times. Great muffins! Speaking of food, the cottage offers many cookware items for cooking your own meals. We made Christmas dinner at the cottage! Again, this rental was very clean and comfortable. We really enjoyed our 2-week stay there!
